About the Chinese neighborhood

Bloged in Facts of Buenos Aires by k_aggery Saturday March 17, 2007

The neighborhood of Belgrano is home of Buenos Aires’s small Chinatown. The district is crowded with restaurants and specialty grocery stores catering to Asian-Argentines and to the general public. The Chinatown began to grow during the middle 80s, the first people to come an live in this neighborhood were Taiwanese, latter on Chinese, Japanese and Koreans chose this location for their home. It is a superb market place for all sort of fresh great quality and exotic products. I only wish the barrio would be bigger, it is now located at the intersection of Arribenos and Juramento and extends over a few blocks down Arribenos.
