About Miami Ink

Bloged in Facts of Buenos Aires by k_aggery Sunday March 11, 2007

Today we’re stepping away from Buenos Aires, to find ourselves in Miami Beach, Florida. Maybe some of you know about the tattoo shop Miami Ink, which is also the title of a reality show, which films the events that take place there. The shop is co-owned by artists Ami James and Chris Nuñez, and also features other artists. The show exhibits the process and finished work of these entrepreneurial tattoo artists by featuring a number of customers along with their backstory and motivations for their tattoos.

A week ago, my boyfriend went to Miami for work, and I asked him to bring me back a picture from the Miami Ink store, as I love watching the show. How lucky he was to find himself during the shooting of an episode :D!

That’s an interesting show. I lived in Miami Beach before moving to BA. The tattoo shop wasn’t there at the time but there was a really cool jazz club right next door. From the photos I see that it’s still there. In the top and bottom photos you can see part of the sign for “Jazzid”…bringing back memories of South Beach.

Jeff– very cool to hear you used to live in Miami Beach woaa world’s very small sometimes. Thanks for stopping by.

MAya– I wish I went there, hehehe… If I have to go to Miami, I’ll go there make one for sure. I did not do one yet, I’m still undecided on what to do next. I still have the Japanese sign to get done, and I want another bigger one on the right side of the back. Goshh so hard to decide, so at the end, I did not do anything.. yet. One day it’ll come, I keep u posted :)
