Argentina, among the best place to live?
A recent survey showed that in order to live or visit, Argentina is one of the places that have in mind the Europeans. According to the newspaper El Pais of Spain, Argentina headed the ranking of nonEuropean destinies to go visit. The prestigious Irish magazine “International Living” included the land of the gaucho and the tango as a preferred destination to settle down. In its survey of Quality of Life 2007, Argentina appears tenth in the ranking, although the country is the only Latin American representative in the listing, headed by France. According to “International Living”, the gastronomy, the customs, the low cost of life, and the night life are the parameters that were taken into account to enter the top ten. The listing is headed by France and is followed by Australia, Holland, New Zealand and the United States. For the Spanish survey done in the Iberian newspaper, Buenos Aires was the second nonEuropean city which was most often chosen by the Spaniards, with 2%, behind New York, that obtained a 13.7 percent.

Argentina entre los 10 mejores lugares para vivir?
Mmmm… Me parece que como esta revista es Irlandesa, los periodistas han hecho honor a su excelente cerveza Guiness, y escribieron la nota despues de dar cuenta de algunas botellas.

I`m a 47 Y.O. Divorced business man from Arizona that has had the opportunity to travel to alot of different places,Argentina is my favorite destination thus far.
I`ve have been on the hunt for a second home there either on the coast south of Mar Del Plata or the patagonia region near Bariloche but not Bariloche proper because its to busy.
I read just recently that the law for Americans for buying property there has changed making it much harder to purchase land in Argentina.
Some Americans have chose buying in the patagonia region of southern Chile which is also very beautiful and alot easier to purchase property.
Chile has a higher cost of living but from what I`ve seen there is even some bigger bargains on buying property which for me I have to be near or on the water because I`m a fisherman.
My next trip to S.A. before I purchase property I`m going to spend alittle time in Uruguay on a tip from a friend saying if your going to buy on the ocean Uruguay has the most beautiful beaches.
Ocean front or lake front property which ever I buy in S.A. its going to be a challenge!

Hello, i´m Victor from argentina and reading this article i realize that you dont know any idea what youre talking about. Argentina its a very inestable country. Political and social inestability its a common situation in this country, and i would not recommend buying lands, perhaps in some short period of time you´ll lost your properties, we dont like the idea that every-foreing-body comes here to buy lands in the patagonia and we are starting to think to recover those lands.

To all and especially Victor — In this posting, I just reported what different newspapers/surveys had written. This is NOT my personal opinion of Buenos Aires and Argentina. The country has indeed social issues yet to be fixed. What the newspapers are trying to convey is that for tourists now Argentina is the destination to go to, because of the devaluation of the pesos and undoubtedly Argentina is the ideal place for tourists who intend to live here, because everything is more “affordable”. And tourism has just boomed over the last few years which is a good point for the Argentinian economy.

Good Evening!
I agree with Karine & Marce,Victor isn`t very worldly,He has most likely never traveled out of his home town in Argentina.
Its a global world out there,I have met Argentines that have moved to the US and even my state of Arizona,I don`t blame them for making there lives more interesting by trying something different and no one I know is going around saying those darn Argentines are buying up all the good Arizona land,Ha Ha !!
I have traveled all over Argentina and no one ever said anything negative to me about buying a future home there.
On the other hand they have encouraged me to buy there.
Argentines are wonderful people!

I would like to purchase a home in Buenos Aires proper. I hear that Recoleta is the most desirable area, is this correct? And I am looking for a 2 bedroom apartment with a nice balcony and view for about $150 K. A parking space is desirable. Is this realistic?

I don t know who published this kind of articles.
I think that it has a limited vision of what is Argentina and Argentinians.
I m 35 ,and I have born in Buenos AIres, since my childhood, i have witnessed the decay of my country, and obviosly, of their capital.
Only if you move near recoleta or barrio norte neighbourhoods, you don t note that poverty has invadad almost every block of my city, full of homeless, and people looking for food in the garbage.
Not to mention the grade of government corruption and the natural tendency of us not to abide by law.
Sure, only crazy people could invest here. Be careful!

I guess that to receive the home loans from creditors you ought to have a firm reason. Nevertheless, once I have received a sba loan, just because I wanted to buy a bike.
